Hello Reader! October is ADHD awareness month and I am always compelled to share both my experiences through my family's journey with ADHD and ways organizing can truly help you focus and better manage all the things. There are plenty of ways out there to help you manage adult ADHD hyperactivity. From using a paper planner to making changes in your diet to eliminating clutter. All of these strategies will help you manage your symptoms and energy. I am sharing tip and strategies around what's worked well for me in the hopes that they will help you too! Because at the end of the day, whether it's managing ADHD symptoms or one of the many other curve balls adult life tends to toss us, we could all use a little help and encouragement along the way! Finding your balance ⚖️Living with Adult ADHD Hyperactivity can be an overwhelming experience. Constantly feeling restless, impulsive, and easily distracted can make it challenging to manage your energy effectively. However, there are strategies you can implement to regain control and find balance in your life. Before diving into strategies to help you with managing ADHD symptoms, I’m going to share my journey and diagnosis as an adult. Symptoms like the list below finally started to make sense when I was diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficient Hyperactivity Disorder) in the fall of 2021.
And honestly, the diagnosis was a relief and the key I needed to better and more effectively manage and balance everything. I share my journey, helpful resources and the organizing strategies you can use to create a simple system that just works for you.
Empowering women to thrive 💪Navigating everyday challenges can be tough, especially for adult women with ADHD. Women with ADHD often go undiagnosed or are misdiagnosed due to the differences in how the disorder manifests in them compared to men. While men with ADHD tend to display more hyperactive and impulsive behaviors, women often exhibit more internalized symptoms such as difficulty with focus, organization, and time management. This difference in presentation can lead to women being overlooked and facing challenges in seeking proper diagnosis and treatment. Balancing work, relationships, and personal responsibilities can feel overwhelming when your mind is constantly racing and easily distracted. But here’s the good news. Adult women with ADHD can thrive, it's not only possible but completely within reach. This can involve a combination of strategies and the key is finding what works best for you. Check out my tried and true effective strategies that have worked for me here.
